The Need to be Different

A country which is supposed to be a developing country since 1950 should be a developed one by now. Or atleast it should not be like how our country looks right now. No matter how hard we think we could never find a concrete reason to convince ourselves. I observed a thing about our people that could possibly be a reason why we are not developing in a average pace. We never try to be different. Less travelled paths scare us. We never go for adventures. We would go for a tour that is pre planned and well scheduled rather than to go on a adventure even if the former costs too much. We are never ready to come out of our comfort zone.
We see a successful man and believe his path is the only path to success and we try to follow it ignoring the other billion ways to succeed. People here have good bank balance but hesitant to invest it in a business just because of the fear of loosing it. Our country's development relies hugely on this unused wealth that people put behind their name.
We see successful people from the west. Admire them. No offence in that. But offence begins when we try to follow them. We copy their attires. People must understand that their attires didnt give them sucsess, their language didnt but their work did.
"UNIQUE" is a word i love and its really pity that i'm  unable to use it when i talk about my country. There is no rule that we should take only an already travelled path. When u feel an alternate better route is available, never hesitate to take it. If u didnt try how will you be able to find the best one.  Success is not something that we get only by following someone's path. Have a vision. Become broad minded. Work with conciousness. Success will give you a date then.

We care for our people

Sub Urban trains in chennai, the place where u will find all kinds of beggars. Within a 10 minute travel u are assured to see atleast one of them. Where else in this world you would see a monkey do this!!

What goes through your mind when you see one such beggar. I find it very tough to express that feel. May be there is no apt word in any of the languages to describe that feeling. A tinge of anger mixed with pitiness. Recently saw a lady begging. Well that's no surprise. But the surprising part is that she could read tamil literature very well.
Before giving money to them i used to think "what if this small coins that i give satisfy them and they remain beggars all throughout". So more often i decide not to encourage them. Well, we all know pain killers doesn't cure anything. Antibiotics do.
It would be hard to blame them for their pathetic condition. There should be a wayout for them. For a goverment that spends crores for welcoming the prime minister from neighbouring country this shouldn't be a big deal. To start camps, where these people could be brought to, made to work, provided with food. Can't just say it is goverment's duty and then shift our focus. May be our goverment is too busy welcoming visitors, justifying their crimes. So here falls a duty on us to remind our goverment about what they are here for. Serve People...

My bout with airtel

Many might consider this as a great network, just like i did. But folks it isn't. To let you all understand here is my story.

Life went on very smoothly when i was a tata docomo customer. Was using that for 2 years then. When this mobile number portability came on to the scene, like many i also wished to change to airtel as i had issues with network coverage(isn't this an obvious thing with tata docomo???!!!). To add more fire to my desire to change to airtel, i was deducted 30 rupees for attending a call from unknown number. That was when i decided its time to change to airtel and that was also when my misery started.

Airtel treated me so well at the beginning by giving me a plan of calling airtel mobiles @10ppm and others @ 30ppm. Before i could enjoy these privileges my outgoing was barred for non submissiom of address proof. Listen Carefully!!! i submitted form for porting from tata docomo to airtel with the address proof stapled to it. How come they received my porting request but not the address proof????. I then submitted proof again in Airtel Relationship Centre. Was Hoping that services resumes in 2 days. That didn't happen and i called Airtel customer care 11 times. Their common reply is that my address proof in not updated on their side.

That number was very important and thats why i went again and submitted proof. Lived in hope for 2 days and still no change. To make things worse my incoming facility was also barred. Then i submitted proof in two airtel offices. after a 3 days wait my problem was corrected. Felt really happy then. That didn't last long. I got a msg stating that services to my number is stopped due to non submission of prepaid enrollment form. I was thinking they must be kidding or it must be a wrongly sent msg.The next day services were stopped and the sim card's registration failed. I went to airtel office and asked clarifications. Like always they red out the msg that i got loud. They also said u have to buy a new number as there is no ways to get back this number.

I then went to headoffice(i thought it to be). They said they'll recreate my number and they gave me a sim card. They promised it will be activated within 2 days. But it took 10 days(i went and asked them twice within these 10 days). The sim got activated few minutes before. I was jumping in joy(over the moon actually) and tried my first call. Could only hear this recorded msg "your line has been temporarily suspended due to non submission of form" WTF???? what did they do with all the forms and proofs i have submitted. Are they making paper planes with it???. There were even more sad stories that i heard during my frequent visits to airtel offices. Even a market will be less crowded than Airtel offices these days(majority of the crowd will be people like me). My number is gone now. There won't be a person in this world who will be regretting more than what i do right now. FYA!!!!!!!!

unwelcomed visitor

Before u wonder who it is, let me tell you this bird is that visitor. I was in system when i heard that sound of BANG. I Rushed to see what it is and this is what i found. Poor bird came flying in through the door only to get hit by the running fan.
I saw no external injuries on it and felt a slight fear to get near at first as i thought it is gonna fly again. How funny i am. I then took it and placed it on the wall. Waited for few minutes before believing it is no more.

all i can do for it is to say "poor bird, picked the wrong time to enter my home..".
Yeah, power came back just few minutes before the bird entered, after an hour long absence..
